ROC/NYC
Hey, I’m Pearson — a graphic designer based at SUNY Purchase who’s into minimal, experimental design with a strong connection to music and community. I like keeping things simple but with a bit of flair, whether that’s through print, motion, or branding. I’ve worked on self-published magazines, animated flyers for DIY shows, music video rollouts, and product packaging—all projects that let me explore storytelling across different mediums.
I’m drawn to studios that value thoughtful craft and cultural relevance, especially those working with artists and musicians. Outside of design, I’m usually flipping through books, watching films, or diving into niche music scenes like Brazilian punk. I’m always looking to collaborate with people who care about creating meaningful, honest work.

KENT Magazine Series

KENT is a self-initiated, independently produced magazine series that showcases a holistic approach to editorial design and creative direction. Spanning two volumes developed over five months, the project was led from start to finish by the creator overseeing design, networking, physical production (printing, trimming, binding), promotion, and distribution. Volume One was launched in Fairport, NY, while Volume Two expanded to Detroit, MI with the support of Aida Lidell, who contributed to curating featured artists. Unlike typical submission-based publications, each issue of KENT was selectively curated, emphasizing quality and intentionality. This project demonstrates a balance of creative vision, technical execution, and entrepreneurial drive skills that translate directly to any design focused environment.
